Basic introduction to HTML5 - On this occasion Arlina Design will discuss issues related to HTML5. To initiate this discussion HTML5 helps us to know about basic introduction of HTM5 so we can understand the workings and application.
What's HTML5
Based on the understanding that we know HTML5 is the latest technology of HTML (Hypertext Markup Language), which is one of the web programming language that is shaded by the World Wide Web Consortium, commonly known by the W3C. HTML5 was introduced to the public since 2008, however the new HTML5 widely known and officially released in 2011. The programmer starts to have a special interest to use these new technologies but browser compatibility at that time still very low making it difficult for web developers to use HTML5 thoroughly / cross browser.
HTML5 working simultaneously with CSS3. Although still not final status, both of these technologies can already be used effectively. W3C is currently still trying to maximize this new technology to make it more stable. Since this technology was introduced, W3C attention focused on the development so that it becomes a product that will continue to be developed until today.
Some of the advantages offered by HTML5 technology
The new features are available and based on HTML, CSS, DOM, and JavaScript. The need to use extra plug-ins such as Flash Player can be minimized so that the website can be downloaded for a more effective, lightweight and fast. Error handling is easier than in previous versions. Many tag and a new element-element which is used to minimize the writing program code. HTML5 is an independent platform.
What's new in HTML5
HTML5 presented to minimize the coding process and more logical. HTML5 is needed by websites that have basic multimedia content because it has a lot of code that is destined multimedia content. Many of the features that have been made with regard to the amount of data used but still providing backward compatibility to all platform so as to improve the mobility of content usage information desired by the user. Some new features such as element <video>, <audio> and <canvas>, as well as the integration of the Vector Graphics Content (<object> tag). It is concluded that the content of the website is based multimedia and graphics can be handled by HTML5 and of course can be used easily and more quickly without having to use additional plug-ins or APIs.

<Canvas> is used to draw graphics via scripting (usually JavaScript)
<Article> Defines an article
<Aside> Defines content aside from the page content
<BDI> Isolates a part of text that can be formatted in a different direction from other text outside it
<Command> Defines a command button that a user can request
<Details> Defines additional details that the user can view or hide
<Dialog> Defines a dialog box or window
<Summary> Defines a title look for the <details>
<Figure> Specifies independent content, such as illustrations, diagrams, photos, code listings, etc.
<Figcaption> Defines a caption for the element <figure>
<Footer> Defines a footer for a document or section
<Header> Defines a header for a document or section
<Mark> Defines marked / highlighted text
<Meter> Defines the measurement scale in the range known
<Nav> Defines navigation links
<Progress> Represents the progress of a task
<Ruby> Defines a ruby explanation (for East Asian typography)
<Rt> Defines an explanation / pronunciation of characters (for East Asian typography)
<Rp> Defines what should be displayed in browsers that do not support

We as users of technology especially internet technology certainly do not want to fall behind with the latest generation of technological developments, especially if we use the technology that is being threatened no longer function on the browser in the future.
As information top browsers like Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Opera, and IE has provided compatibility of HTML5, this proves that the generation of HTML5 will replace the previous generation of HTML 4.01, which indirectly will delete functions.
