Expand your OneDrive storage from 5 to 15 GB within Jan31st 2016

Microsoft has decided to give legacy customers their full 15 GB back. You just have to go to Microsoft’s dedicated page and request your free 15 GB before January 31st 2016.

Recently, a blog post was announced detailing that you would be reducing our free and paid storage. Only 1TB for Office 365 customers, and only 5 GB for free customers, and eliminate the 15GB camera roll bonus completely.

This caused a massive backlash from customers,Over 72000 of them voted on the OneDrive UserVoice page, Asking Microsoft to bring back their free storage amounts.

A Quiet Post of Douglas Pearce, (Microsoft's Group Program Manager for OneDrive)

" For customers of our free service who have over 5 GB of Content and who are directly impacted by the storage change, we will offer one free year of Office 365 Personal, Which includes 1 TB of storage.

These customers will receive an email with redemption information early next year ".

On this issue Users will have a option that they go to the Microsoft web page and sign up and keep their current OneDrive storage amounts. Again, this option will only up to Jan 31 2016.

He also made a apology note stating :
" We are all genuinely sorry for the frustration this decision has caused and for the way it was communicated "
